I am getting another error when I try to connect another product (Tag Pen Jr) to the LF Connect App: "For Leap Frog Connect to work on this version of OS X, you will need to enable the LeapFrog system extension in the Mac OS security and privacy panel.The error pop-up says, "The driver for your LeapReader isn't installed." I've restarted several time and re-connected the app, but it is still not working. I am getting an Error 40 error when I run their app trying to connect my LeapReader.My problem: I don't have the "Allow button" option Their troubleshooting guide tells me to go to Security& Privacy>allow apps downloaded from>app Store & identified developers>click "Allow" so I can select LeapFrog.Problem: Can't install drivers/extensions, being blocked by Catalina Now, I can't even using the LeapFrog Conect app anymore and I have 5 other products that I can't update without it. (I purchased a new item, and it wasn't being detected on my mac.) Reinstalling the app was a fail because I am being blocked from installing drivers/extensions. I used to have it working on my laptop but then I followed the troubleshooting guide on their website and uninstalled the existing app manually to reinstall it. If anyone can tell me why I am having this problem and even fix it for me I would be so Happy! I have called Mac but they have no clue.I am trying to install a Leap Frog Connect app on my Macbook. But not the point! I want this thing to work on my computer! Would hate to have to go Borrow my friends PC to get apps on my kids Leap pad! If you can't tell I am not great with computers but do my best to figure it out.
( and yes of course I have restarted the computer) I am going to take the thing to a friends house and see if we can't get it to work on a PC. I have done the Code thing in the terminal, with no success. This time it won't let me install the driver… The install button is faded ( light grey) Have no idea why that is! I have looked for the movie media play plug in and can not find it to delete it. Although today I deleted all Leap Frog items from my computer and re-installed Leap Pad Connect and tried to do the Driver agin. I have tried to install the driver which did nothing. we even did a factory reset that messed the thing up! They had me send it back so that they could fix it and than set it back to me. It is connected!!!! I have been talking with leap pad about this for months now. I plug it in, leap pad connect starts up… I click on the leap pad, than the go to the app store to get my free included apps ( and to hopefully get my old ones back! ) When I get the the Register stage it says to connect the leap pad. But now I can't get the new one to connect to leapPad Connect, Or well it kinda does. ( Mac oz lion 10.7.5) It quit working and Leap pad sent me a new one. I had a leap pad 2 that worked just fine on my computer.
